ARTICLE 3.

The Company shall pay to the Colonial Treasuror

as a Royalty for the concession the sum of one penny for overy paid word sent or received by its radio-electric

service in the Colony with a minimum payment of £10,000

a year.

Such payment sill be mide to the Colonial

Treasurer of Hong Kong during the month of July in cach

year and shall be in respect of accounts made up to the

last day of the preceding month; provided that the first

of such payments shall be made in the month of July

following twelve months oporation by the Company.

Without prejudice to the said minimum annual payment,

either the Government or the Company may require a revision

of the rate per word or of the method

computing the

said royalty from time to time by three months previous

notice in writing; but such revision shall not be made unless

the average rates of charges by the Company to the public

have boon increased or reduced by more than 25% since the

date of this agreement or since the last revision.

The rights granted and the obligations undertaken
